The Royal Tenenbaums

I am a huge Wes Anderson fan.  He is a proper auteur (a rarity nowadays) and his films all have a particular gentle humour that I find charming.  Anderson's films can be relied upon for an excellent cast and soundtrack.  They are also unfailingly pretty to look at, with a prime example being The Royal Tenenbaums.
